Mini-mid-week-vacation

Last week we spend a few nights at my parents house to celebrate our third year of marriage. The plan was to stay back at the cabin. Well, I gave my mom one days notice. Which didn't give her enough time to turn on the water. Oh well, we stayed put at mom's. She spoiled and pampered us, feed us and entertained us during our three day stay. We attempted an outdoor picnic eventually ending up eating at the cabin, sheltered from the cold drizzle. What is it with April 29th and rain? My parents also treated us to a little (ha) supper at Carlsona on the north end Mille Lacs. We relaxed, napped, played games, ate, and watched movies. It was wonderful! A great way to celebrate the occasion.
