Unexpected Expectations

When life changed with the addition of a mini-"scange" (scott + ange = scange) I knew things would be different, things would change.
BUT
I did not anticipate this:
everything is always wet, sticky, stinky, and soggy.
diapers can not take the heat.
something is always in need of being washed.
diaper bags are not big enough.
babies eat so much.
diapers were not made for little baby boy parts.
poop will get under your finger nails.
poop will get on everything it doesn't touch (thats right...if its poop its everywhere).
expiration time rather then expiration date (as far as formula goes)
babies grow out of clothes and diapers waaaaay too fast.
advice is needed.
your son will not only pee on you but also on his own face (this I did know)
any and all help is appreciated.
circumcisions are tricky (Well...maybe that was just E)
prayer is hourly.
worry is a constant (worry for scotts drive home from work, worry while E is sleeping).
the desire to be all is natural.
the ability to be all is another story.
spontaneity can still happen.....it just involves a little more planning,
life is better when caring for another.
sleep will not happen (this I knew...) but you feel tired for a short time in the evening.
you can be busy all day...constant doing and still nothing will get done.
a partner/husband is a necessary.
silence is a treat.
a baby's scream can rattle eardrums.
cuddling is something to take time for.
kisses do not get old.
being needed feels amazing.
sometimes you are the only one that can cure the cry.
family gets closer.
life has a whole new meaning.
God becomes a little more real then He was before.
life amazes you.
you need more than you did before (more help, more love....more $$)
Love is stronger. Family is all.
